NASA and the FAA have teamed up to see how they can safely fly drones in an urban area. Nevada and Texas are the final locations for this test. They are working on and testing several drone capabilities like vehicle-to-vehicle communication, detect and avoid capabilities, collision avoidance and more. They say this will help make operating drones in a populated area safer.
