Koala-spotting drones proves a flying success

QUT researchers have developed an innovative method for detecting koala populations using drones and infrared imaging that is more reliable and less invasive than traditional animal population monitoring techniques.

In Australia they are using drones to help with Koala conservation. They use drones to help find the kolas by using infrared. The infrared can help find then in dense bush as well leading to more accurate data.
